How does the mind know what I don't?

The keys that turn

Nowadays I seem to be reading a lot of books on psychic and sensitive people; some say that we all have spirit guides who will, as and when we need them, guide us if we only would listen to them. They say that they come to our aid in certain situations and all we need to do is ask and listen.

Most of the time, we are too busy in our own decision making that we ignore this spiritual facility; due to our sensitivity being in the off position.

I am sure you have had many of these situations; e.g if you are driving your car and are not sure which turn to take and all of a sudden you get a message in your head that tells you which direction to go, you choose to ignore it and make your own decision. Later you discover that you were wrong and the voice in your head was correct.

Do you remember saying that next time you will listen and actually carry out what the voice suggested?

Then next time you make exactly the same mistake and repeat your intention that next time you really will listen to the voice?

For those that heard the voice or had that feeling, but then ignored it, they did not always see any change to their normal journey, walk, ride etc. Others who went on the journey did not hear a voice and sometimes sadly did see and feel what was wrong.

Why do some of us have strong guides that help and others are left to be hurt?

Sadly this I will never understand like 9/11 where you hear some people having said they don’t know why but they didn’t go to work that day.

I think that because normally, a large space of time exists between each of these occurrences we forget what rules we agreed to follow.

Those of us who are attracted to learning more about the inner mind, (our guides that speak to us), work much harder on listening; each time we need an answer to a decision that we are not sure about making, we pause and then take the answer we heard in our head, and the more it works out that it is correct, the more often we converse with our inner mind.

Most of us can use this method, as we all have this gift, but only a few run their lives by it. Why? Well we like to run our own lives, and make our own decisions as we, the all powerful ones know best and we like being in control.

We seem to find it good to punish ourselves, it is as if this pain we go through is part of a ritual that we have inherited and will not give it up.

If we keep ignoring this inner voice we will one day destroy ourselves, we know this as well.

Each time we drink too much we know its bad but ‘we’ decide to have the last say. It’s the same with smoking, over eating and a thousand other things that we have control over in our daily lives; we know that most of our over indulging is not good for us as we get that old memory voice telling us that we should stop, but as I say, we over rule it and do it anyway.

So whether you believe me or not, don’t we all have this inner voice speak to us from time to time? Those that use this advanced knowledge that is given at birth; can at least live knowing we decided on whatever it was we did through our life’s journey and to us this way is the only true way to really live by.

If by going against the voice and feelings we receive, to those folk that do; they do not feel guilty, because after all, they the human controller has decided what they will do and not with the directed help that was given freely. At the time we knew clearly what our decision was going to be and stuck by it.

Others, who do the opposite to what they heard and still did the opposite, knowing there was a difference, normally will still be trying to justify the action well after the cigarette or ‘bad action’ has long passed.

To live more freely one must make the decisions clear and then do whatever you, the whole person, decided. Who is the whole person? ‘Well, you are’, not just the brain that thinks and voices that run the body. To be complete you need to respect that each time you have done a wrong by your actions and pushed the body by imposing your will, you are killing the flesh part, and one day it will not be able to carry you any more.

Think: does your thinking mind need the body or if you could separate it how would it move and do what it was put on this earth for?

If anything, the body is more important than the mind and yet we seem to think it is the other way around.

Let me tell you about my theory of the mind and body working as one.

I am no better than most at destroying my body. There will always be the exception, the healthy ones in life, but they will have their own problems and not necessarily find peace in the wholeness of what they do.

Back to normal folk

What’s normal? Well I think the statements above show that most of us do not ‘listen’ and yet we are always ‘hearing’ or you would not know what I have been talking about?

Let’s try out the theory in practice, you will need a whole day; when you have time to give it your full attention.

Every time on the chosen day you will ask your subconscious mind to guide the decisions you make, anytime you need to do something ask firmly, (hear yourself asking it clearly in your mind) take what you hear, e.g. get out of bed, look at your wardrobe and ask “what shall I wear today?” You may like to try it before you even open your wardrobe. If you do not like what you first hear then your day will fail before you start. Do this with everything whether it is what you are about to eat or what you should do or where to go. Of course a lot depends on if you have the day off. If it is a work day you can still use it but it may be harder to ask and do, as outside influences may change what you ask of your mind. Perhaps you asked before you have arrived at work and were thinking ahead, it only works in the present time not in a forward time.

Whatever it is you decide to use to test out this all knowing mind, try to make it work for you in more than just one instance of your daily life.

To digress for a moment let’s explore ‘you’ and your mind as you know it.

If you are always the one that likes to be in charge and not listen to that inner voice, who is it that knows when to take new directions in the car? You can’t know because you have never been on that journey before, so how can it be your mind? Perhaps it is your guardian angel that is telling you?

How do you think this angel would work for you? Would it only talk to you when you are about to do something bad, like smoking perhaps? No, because if so why does it tell you when to turn in the car? Surely this is kindness not criticism?

If this voice or signal that you pick up was correct 100% every time in what it told you and you acted on it do you think you would start running your life by it? I doubt it, as we love to punish ourselves, don’t we?

Here is a test I gave my higher self just to see who out of us was the most superior; I can tell you it was not me the one that occupies my body.

I moved to a new house and it came with two keys, these two keys where so close to being the same I could hardly see the difference when holding them up side by side and looking at them.

Me being, I think, ‘typical’, I had them both on the same key ring and did not mark one or the other; so each time, I went to the front door I would take out the keys and try one, I know it only takes a second to change them over but I would get cross for a moment just because each time it would be the wrong one that I choose to put in the lock first.

I am sure I am not the only stupid person in the world who kept doing this ritual over and over, each time I vowed to make one key stand out from the other but never got around to it. Why did I not take the back door key off the ring as I never even used it, perhaps I was lazy? I have no idea, but it is not the first and will not be the last time, I do such an act that keeps testing me.

I had thought of painting one of them but realised that in the dark I would not see the difference. It then came to me; I was standing at the door and was about to do my normal thing, when I asked, “which one is it?” An answer came, and to my amazement it was the correct one; I tried it every day for more than one month.
It was easy to remember to do, as it had been so annoying each day when it was the wrong one; it was because it had become a major task. (To overcome)

It was not without its faults, or should I say, I was not without mine?

To begin with I could not accept that each time I asked which was the correct key to put into the lock, it was the right one to use, and sometimes I would change the key that I thought my inner mind had decided upon and then I would override it; just to be wrong yet again. Did I not listen, and was I too quick, I asked my self?
In the end I decided to ask which key was correct, then, as I went towards the lock, I asked again and sometimes those inner voices said it was the other key and so I changed it before I made the final decision, needless to say, it always guided me to the correct one.

I still today wonder why such a simple thing as this would be of any use in the big scheme of things but then I just put it down to everything I do is an act and if my life can flow a little easier, then I should not question it.

I hope this will help others to realise that we all have the last say but, to remove tasks that make us cross, which are as simple as this, may give us more peace in sorting out what other items come along that really do need our full attention; with mind and body alike.

Just to end. I told a friend what I had done and she said she had just moved in to a new bungalow and also had two keys and she would try out this method. After trying it many times she told me that she did what I said, but she got the wrong key every time with this system and not the other way around. Then she finished by saying ‘but that’s normal for me as I always do the opposite thing to the correct’. My advice to her was, try to listen harder and not to think!

Note: A further thought about this: if you think it was all the time in our memory and not coming from another being, then how can it work and when we had never done these things before nor had we ever been on that journey before …….. Or had we?
